Yakushiji Temple: Master Xuanzang

此像雕造於十三世紀，近年被發現安置於日本奈良藥師寺收藏庫，經修復後，現藏於該寺大寶藏殿。
由多材結合而成，眼鑲嵌玉石，妝彩。左手執梵夾，右手掌心向前，拇指、食指及中指豎起，餘二指屈曲，似表現中國唐（618～907）玄奘留學印度歸國後，在長安（今陝西西安）譯經的姿態。臉龐清秀，廣額豐頤，眼尾刻劃三條皺紋，相貌年輕。身著袈裟，右覆偏衫，結跏趺坐於附有靠背的方形木榻上。
衣紋簡括，手法寫實，表現鎌倉時代（1185～1333）的肖像雕刻。
