Yonghe Temple Wanfu Pavilion: Maitreya Bodhisattva (detail)
雍和宮彌勒佛立像

位於北京市東城區雍和宮萬福閣。此像由整株珍貴的白檀香木精雕而成，地上造像18公尺，嵌入地下8公尺。因清高宗（1735～1796在位）派兵平息西藏叛亂，使政教合一，七世達賴喇嘛約於乾隆十五年（1750），特從尼泊爾運來原木進貢，後雕成佛像。至今無絲毫腐朽，被譽為雍和宮木雕三絕之一。一九九○年列入金氏世界紀錄（Guinness World Records）。
該像全身貼金，頂戴五方佛冠，目光如炬，炯炯有神，眉宇間具浩然正氣；身披瓔珞，一珠一玉，巧奪天工，極為富麗；雙手拈持蓮花莖，姿態優雅。造像高大莊嚴，觀瞻者必須仰視，是不可多得的雕刻精品。
