法界寺阿彌陀佛坐像

位於日本京都市伏見區日野西大道町法界寺阿彌陀堂，為該堂之主尊。約雕造於十一世紀末至十二世紀初，為典型的定朝樣式。頭部、軀幹正背面基本上左右各由二材接合而成，再嵌上其餘細部，像內刳空。一九五二年指定為日本國寶。
阿彌陀佛高280公分，結跏趺坐於八角九重蓮座上，座高161.2公分，手結上品上生印。整體比例頭部稍大，面稍微扁平，五官偏小，眉細頰豐，溫文儒雅。身著袒右袈裟，右肩敷搭偏衫，線條式的淺雕衣紋流暢優美，予人纖細之感。背光透雕，外圈刻鏤飛天，或坐或立於雲紋上，帔帛向上揚起，形成背光的周緣。頭光和身光為相連的二重圓光，內雕刻寶相花及雲紋，與上方卷草紋樣的華蓋相搭配，更襯托出淨土莊嚴之景象。
