福建汀州 僧人
俗姓溫。法名圓照，字慧明。生於一八五九年，卒於一九三○年。僧人。福建汀州人。少時家貧，九歲入寺當童行，於福建福州鼓山湧泉寺出家，十九歲於浙江台州天台山國清寺受具足戒。其後於滬、杭間參學，三十二歲於浙江普陀山法雨寺開講《妙法蓮華經》。門人為其輯有《慧明法師開示錄》。
曾任浙江杭州靈隱寺住持，善說法，深獲時賢尊仰。能詩畫，亦工詩偈，所作詩偈，主敘眼見所及之想法與悟境，具觀世體物之胸懷。書法遵循王羲之和王獻之的儒雅風致，傳世作品有行書《七言詩》，藏臺灣臺北何創時書法藝術基金會。
