Advice to Tesshu Tokusai’s Attendant

應是中峰明本晚年之作。凡十七行，一百二十六字。此卷應入元僧人鐵舟德濟侍者之請而書，意以參話頭為修行了悟之道，句句殷殷叮囑。一九五七年指定為日本重要文化財。
此卷料無元代（1271～1368）書家影響，用筆尖峰直入重按，點畫肥如柳葉，結字章法又疏散不羈，直有柳葉亂舞之態，此即中峰明本「柳葉書」之標準面貌。有言其取法於章草古篆，或可解釋其書寫風格形成的取徑。
中峰明本俗姓孫，自稱幻住道人，時人譽為江南古佛。元代臨濟宗高僧，一生淡泊名利，常年草棲浪宿，致力弘揚看話禪。英宗（1320～1323在位）、翰林學士趙孟頫等皆禮之為師。
