金銅千手觀音菩薩像鏡

日本十二世紀作品。圓形，銅鑄，周緣鑲邊，作掛佛形式。鏡面中央以鉚釘拴上銅鍛造鎏金的千手觀音菩薩坐像，專供禮拜而製作。一九五八年指定為日本重要文化財。
千手觀音帶圓形頭光、身光，邊緣鑄凸弦紋。綰髮戴冠，結跏趺坐於蓮座上。身前三雙主臂分別作捧鉢、合掌與屈臂上舉，其餘手臂向兩側伸展，手中分持法器。菩薩身軀及蓮座以一片銅板錘出，作淺浮雕狀。光相、菩薩兩側手臂及持物鏤雕，衣紋、蓮瓣則施以線刻。此作屬平面線刻銅鏡發展至立體表現過渡時期之形式，為初期的典型掛佛。
