甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。屬九世紀作品。此圖分上下二個場景，描繪悉達多太子的宮中享樂生活及太子為求法而離宮的故事。上圖繪太子與耶輸陀羅觀舞的宮中生活；下圖典出《方廣大莊嚴經》卷六〈出家品〉，太子於深夜駕馬出城求道，為防出聲，四天王令眾夜叉為太子承托馬蹄飛出城外。
此圖不乏幽默感，如守城的衛兵，有以手附耳者，表現出十分警覺的狀態；城牆上插有旗幟，暗示著有許多來回巡邏的士兵。每個情節旁皆有榜題。圖中建築、服飾，乃至舞者的雲頭履皆是中國式，表現手法樸質。
