興福寺五重塔
日本奈良
位於日本奈良市登大路町興福寺，塔高僅次於京都教王護國寺五重塔，是江戶時代（1615～1868）之前日本第二高塔。奈良天平二年（730）光明皇后發願營建，創建時通高約45公尺，是當時日本第一高塔。其間經過五次燒毀重建，現塔為室町應永三十三年（1426）所建，整體上仍維持奈良時代（710～794）的風貌。一九五二年指定為日本國寶。
該塔為方形五層樓閣式木塔，通高50.1公尺，方形石台基四面設垂帶踏跺。每層面闊、進深皆三間，當心間闢門，次間除第一層設直櫺窗，其餘各層皆無窗。第二層以上設平座欄杆。檐上鋪筒板瓦，出檐深遠，檐角微微翹起。塔剎由剎座、覆鉢、受花、相輪、水煙和寶珠等組成。第一層內部鋪設木板，中心柱四面設須彌壇，供奉四方佛。
