佛作羅漢相，蓄髭鬚，微露笑容，躬身作接引狀。以三藍緙絲法，在淺色的背景上，運用赭紅色突顯袈裟、雲朵等主題，搭配藍色雲氣、交領僧衣及深藍的髭鬚和袖緣；華蓋如意則採用月白加金手法，緙面色彩鮮明而典雅。
四周有歷代名仕以不同書體寫經，包括《大佛頂首楞嚴經》、《般若波羅蜜多心經》、《金剛般若波羅蜜經》、《妙法蓮華經》及謝靈運的《無量壽佛讚》。
宋代（960～1279）是中國緙絲技藝鼎盛的時代，此作品反映出南宋（1127～1279）的緙絲水平，可謂巧奪天工。
