Poem on Visiting Master Jingquan at Bantang Temple

半塘寺訪鏡泉上人詩 莫是龍

此幅為莫是龍記訪鏡泉上人，並借宿寺中之事。凡四行，五十一字。就其形式看來，應是過訪後寫贈鏡泉上人者。文後並以幽默語調作結，可見莫氏與鏡泉上人之交情匪淺。
莫是龍為明（1368～1644）末書家，董其昌曾師事其父，故亦與莫是龍相友從。其書風主要取法於二王（王羲之、王獻之）、米芾，故能結體平正雍和一似二王，筆致變化接近米芾。此幅為莫是龍標準風格，可為其書風之代表。
莫是龍字雲卿、廷韓，號秋水。華亭（今上海松江）人。八歲讀書，目下數行，有神童之稱。工詩文書法，亦精於畫理，山水取法黃公望，揮灑時氣韻生動。
