該像螺髮細密，新月眉，眼睛半啟，鑲嵌石榴石和貝殼。鼻子小巧，嘴角上翹，略帶笑意。大臉渾圓，五官相對顯得集中，耳垂外彎緊貼雙肩。體型壯碩，不見頸項，胸寬腹圓。半跏趺坐，雙手十指合攏，撫肚，手指修長。著袒右袈裟，摺疊成帶狀的衣角從左肩垂至胸前，末端呈波浪紋。
此像在泰國稱為善迦財（Phra Sang Kachai），是信徒祈求降福或賜惠的對象，多半被供奉於主尊釋迦牟尼佛旁或佛殿外側的小室中，頗受尊崇，另有今人將之視為彌勒佛。根據傳說，善迦財為佛陀時代僧人，原名迦旃延（Kaccayana），因相貌英俊，備受異性注目，在不勝困擾之下遂祈求變為肥胖醜陋的苦行相。
