Otera Yakushi: Four Heavenly Kings - Virupaksa

此四天王像雕造於九世紀。圖中二尊傳為持國天王及廣目天王，現為日本重要文化財。
二天王高度皆超出180公分，除兩肩膀外，頭部與軀幹由榧木整材雕出，像內不刳空。容貌魁偉，體軀壯碩，腳履戰靴，立於岩座上。著鎧甲，裙長垂於身後，袖口寬大似鰭狀，裙襬衣褶橫線似階梯層層而下。
持國天王頭微側，向下俯視，左手握三叉戟，右手伸直，掌心朝下。廣目天王略微側身，向旁注視，右手垂下握筆，左手上舉托卷子，腹前刻有獸首。
從造型身材看來，頭部與身軀均衡，腰身高，面容豐腴，顯示傳統之作風。
