Shoryoji Temple: Vairocana Buddha

青龍寺大日如來坐像

又稱昭和大佛。位於日本青森市青龍寺。昭和五十九年（1984）舉行佛像開光。像高21.35公尺，盤坐雙膝寬度15公尺，重量達220公噸，其高度超出奈良大佛、鎌倉大佛，為日本最大青銅佛坐像。該像是為第二次世界大戰期間（1939～1945）戰歿亡者追薦冥福而製，由織田隆弘勸募造像資金，據《大日經》中的胎藏界曼荼羅之教義而鑄造。
大日如來綰高髻，戴寶冠，寶冠四面鏨刻化佛坐像，間布花紋圖案。眉間有白毫，雙目低垂，嘴角微抿，面容端嚴。上身佩戴瓔珞、臂釧和腕釧等裝飾。雙手於腹前結印，結跏趺坐於仰覆蓮座上。可從蓮座底部台基處進入像內，內部飾六道輪迴圖。
