日本十三至十四世紀作品。泥塔供養，即造泥土小塔，為延命滅罪、成就祈願而修之密教供養法。寺院或塔基出土者，多被作為鎮寺或供養用。以香水和清淨泥土而成泥團，置入模型，其形狀有圓塔、層塔、五輪塔、寶塔及寶篋印塔等多種塔形。
泥塔共一百座，泥製，素燒。塔均高約4.6～6.8公分，塔基寬約1.8～2.8公分。依模型製作，呈單面扁平塔式。每座塔基表面陰刻《妙法蓮華經》經文一字，故稱為泥塔經。塔身部分則浮出一梵字。此作出土地不詳，但與泥塔經遺例的鳥取縣琴浦町智積寺遺址出土文物有共通特徵，故被認為是其中的一部分。
