Buriram: Head of Sakyamuni Buddha

泰國武里藍府出土

泰國武里藍府(Buri Ram)出土。推測為他叻瓦滴時期(Dvaravati,約6~13世紀)八世紀時期的作品,可能原為一尊佛立像。佛臉龐圓潤,頭形優美。肉髻緩緩隆起呈錐形,頂端平坦。螺髮尖凸,表現較粗獷。淡眉微彎,於眉心相連。眼窩低陷,雙目垂視。鼻準大,鼻翼寬。嘴角刻劃圓窩,表情柔和。
 依此頭像比例,可推斷完整的原像高度應接近100公分,為相當可觀的一尊銅鑄佛立像,反映他叻瓦滴時期精湛的金屬工藝傳統。
