Swat: Bodhisattva in Contemplation

思惟菩薩半跏像
巴基斯坦西北邊境省斯瓦特出土
巴基斯坦開伯爾巴圖克瓦省斯瓦特（Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa）出土。菩薩帶圓形頭光，戴寶冠，眉間有白毫，蓄髭，佩戴項圈、瓔珞、珠鍊、腕釧等。右腿盤屈，左腳著繩鞋，自然垂下踏在足台上。左手置於膝上，捧盒或鉢，右臂屈肘向上，食指輕觸面頰，頭略傾，作半跏思惟狀。
在犍陀羅佛教造像中，作半跏思惟姿態的菩薩像多為悉達多太子或觀音菩薩，此像手中捧盒，實際含義不明確，當是具有特殊性的作例。
