Bodhgaya: Prajnaparamita Bodhisattva and Attendants

般若菩薩及脇侍像
印度比哈爾邦菩提伽耶出土
印度比哈爾邦菩提伽耶（Bodh Gaya, Bihar）出土。菩薩綰高髻戴華冠，兩側冠帶向上飛揚。秀眉高挑，雙眼微啟，流露法喜的笑容。佩戴圓形大耳璫、項圈、臂釧、手鐲，腰繫帶，貼體天衣綴滿碎花紋飾，全身裝扮華貴。手臂粗壯，腰身相對顯得特別瘦長。結跏趺坐於仰覆蓮座上，雙手結說法印，兩朵青蓮繞過菩薩二臂，伸展至其頭部兩側，花上承托經篋。
菩薩左右兩脇侍均身形嬌小，手持蓮花。背屏邊緣雕飾火焰紋及花環，蓮座下兩側雕蹲獅。底座鐫刻供養人名字吉卡巴普拉瓦（Kikabhapurava）。整體造像製作嚴謹，雕工精緻，是波羅王朝（Pala，約8～12世紀）的佳作。當時密教盛行，宗教儀式和女相菩薩備受重視，數量激增，該像為例證之一。
