犍陀羅佛傳浮雕之一。據《雜阿含經》卷十五，佛陀出家成道後，於波羅奈國仙人住處的鹿野苑，為憍陳如等五比丘說四聖諦、八正道，示離愛欲及苦行之兩邊而行中道。
圖中佛陀坐在方形台座上，座前刻有雙鹿，象徵佛陀成道後初次說法處的鹿野苑。佛陀右手扶一圓輪，圓輪為佛法的象徵，意喻佛陀以鹿野苑為中心，將佛法的真理妙諦傳遞到四面八方。佛陀左右兩側有五位比丘，即佛陀的最初五位弟子。其中四位著通肩袈裟，一位著袒右肩袈裟。三位比丘在佛陀左側，兩位在右側，隨侍護法執金剛神亦立於佛陀的右後方。
