諸上座帖 黃庭堅

此帖為黃庭堅贈其友李任道的信札，乃節錄五代《文益禪師語錄》而成。文益禪師七歲出家，嗣法於羅漢桂琛，是法眼宗創始人。文中文益藉由反覆詢問聽講者，說明人生要放下一切的執著，才能契入本心。黃庭堅抄此，似有所會心而欲與其友分享。
草書自章草肇始，經歷今草而狂草的發展與創作，自張芝、二王（王羲之、王獻之），以至於張旭、懷素和尚，幾乎成了後人難以跨越的典範。而黃庭堅承接張旭、懷素的狂草用筆與氣勢，別開草書生面，其用筆一波三折，故線條質感內蘊豐富，復又走筆轉折縱橫皆能如意，故繚繞中還有暢快的氣勢。此作線條勁利老辣，卷中「執著」二字多有重複，黃氏寫來各呈殊致，更顯書家能事，允為黃氏草書之精品。
黃庭堅字魯直，號山谷道人、涪翁，北宋（960～1127）詩人、書法家。奉佛至誠，以禪學入書法，行、草、楷皆精絕。
