四面八臂金剛多羅菩薩像
印度北方邦鹿野苑遺址出土
印度北方邦瓦拉那西（Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh）鹿野苑（Sarnath）出土。菩薩四面八臂，今僅存頭部及上身。頭戴高寶冠，華麗繁複。正面寶冠上置四尊化佛，部分已損毀。臉形圓潤，細眉長彎，雙眼微啟，凝視下方，面相端莊秀美，略帶笑意。袒上身，頸戴多重瓔珞珠串垂至胸部，冠飾、瓔珞刻劃精緻、華美。
印度波羅王朝（Pala，約8～12世紀）歷代諸王護持佛教，增建、修復多間佛塔及寺院，佛教雕像趨向於密教、印度教、女性化的特徵，並出現大量的寶冠佛像和多臂多面、裝飾華麗的諸神雕像，此為典型的密教金剛乘女尊像代表佳作之一。
