此像呈蹲坐姿，雙手合十，神情虔敬專注。頭戴波斯樣式的珠花寶冠，短髮卷曲蓬鬆，頸戴形式大方的寬板項圈，佩臂釧、腕釧等，掛長帶，繫腰布，裝飾華麗。據推測表現的應該是虔敬禮拜佛陀的貴霜王朝（約1～3世紀）貴族供養人。
該像應來自阿富汗或巴基斯坦的佛教寺院，用灰泥塑造，表現出犍陀羅地區造像特有的流暢衣紋和姿態表情。其服裝、頭冠及唇、眼、肌膚等部位仍殘存有彩繪痕跡。
