佛說大藥善巧方便經卷上

清光緒二十五年（1899）甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。此卷無首有尾，凡八十行，行十七字。唐（618～907）以前未見此經流傳，清人輯錄唐《開元釋教錄》載：「大藥善巧方便經二卷，……并出根本說一切有部毘奈耶雜事……」，至唐高宗（649～683在位）、武后（684～705在位）時，方形成一部單獨的佛經流傳於世。此卷內容記載大藥以犬推理斷案和為人解難的故事。
此卷有極細烏絲欄。雖為楷書，但筆畫之間常有牽絲映帶，可見行筆流暢，而為求速度，起筆多露鋒；然章法嚴謹，筆力遒勁，點畫變化多姿，是唐代寫經佳作。
參考釋文：共相保護不令枉橫輒有侵欺／時有一人因向他方還來舊所在其城外池／邊歇息於皮袋中取麵而食忘不繫口餘處／旋行時有毒蛇入於麵內其人既至不審觀／察繫袋持歸於城門外路逢相師告言男子／我觀汝貌命在須臾其人雖聞不將為慮去／之稍遠悔不徵尋便作是念我今宜去先問／大藥然後歸家彼多智策能為我決并持麵／袋至大藥所具陳其事大藥念曰豈非袋內／有惡毒蛇故彼相師作如是語於眾人前即／令置袋于地以杖抉開有大毒蛇從中而出／張鱗吐毒躑身而去諸人見已共歎希奇／佛說大藥善巧方便經卷上
