炳靈寺石窟第172窟一佛二菩薩像
甘肅永靖
位於北壁上層外側的崖壁上。大型淺龕內塑一佛二菩薩像，屬北魏（386～534）晚期至西魏時期（535～556）的造像。主尊坐佛像，高肉髻，面相飽滿而略方，白毫相，細眉大眼，雙目平視，長耳垂肩，嘴角含笑。著通肩袈裟，陰刻細密的衣紋，懸裳覆蓮座自然下垂，衣角層疊錯落有致。結禪定印，一足垂於袈裟之外，結跏趺坐於台座上。坐佛兩側為二菩薩像，寶冠高聳華麗，高鼻梁，細長頸，下著裙，帔帛繞肩，兩手持寶珠等物。
造像的頭光、身光為明代（1368～1644）重繪。坐佛頭光圓形，身光半橢圓形，均內外四層；內圈繪祥雲紋，最外圈以石綠為底，裝飾梅花點和金剛杵。二菩薩頭光、身光與主尊大致相同，賦色淡雅，紋樣別致。
