Bingling Temple Cave 168: Heavenly King

炳靈寺石窟第168窟天王像

甘肅永靖

位於南壁。天王高髮髻,立眉圓眼,獅鼻闊口,八字鬍上翹。上身著龍頭護膊、胸甲,腰際繫帶,下著短裙,並有護腿,足蹬戰靴。右手叉腰,左手握拳上舉,左腿向側前方邁出,跨步立於山岩台上,神態威猛,身軀雄健。
 此身造像比例準確,造型自然,明快舒展,較好地塑造了天王雄姿英發、孔武有力的形象,是炳靈寺唐代(618~907)石窟中天王像的代表作。
