炳靈寺石窟第4窟弟子像
甘肅永靖
位於西壁坐佛兩側。北側弟子為一老者，係迦葉，臉部瘦削，粗眉緊蹙，兩腮下陷，頸部筋骨暴露，內著僧祇支，外披雙領下垂袈裟，袖手赤足立於半圓形覆蓮台上。南側弟子為少年形象，係阿難，像高、袈裟樣式和造型與迦葉像基本相同，頭部豐圓，面相英俊，頸部有三道刻紋。
弟子體型與主尊坐佛一樣具有勻稱修長的特徵，面目表情刻劃細緻準確，生動地表現了迦葉的勁瘦有神、飽經風霜及阿難的聰慧俊朗。衣紋簡潔而極富質感，手法嫻熟勁爽，線條如行雲流水。
