Bodhisattva in Contemplation

思惟菩薩半跏像
傳韓國慶尚北道安東市出土
傳韓國慶尚北道安東市出土。此像與韓國國寶第78號金銅半跏思惟像，皆是韓國三國時期（57 BCE～668）傑出之代表作，無論塑造或鑄造技巧，皆首屈一指。一九六二年指定為韓國國寶第83號。
該菩薩像頭戴三山冠，坐於較矮之台座上。頭部微傾，嘴角略帶微笑，戴項圈，袒上身。右手支頤，右腳屈盤於左腿上，左手撫右足踝，右肘枕於右腿，予人纖細的動感。衣褶細密，線條流暢自然，左腳的衣紋呈「U」形下垂，台座下覆蓋的細線襞褶，如同濕衣般，饒有韻味。三國時期半跏思惟像承襲中國東魏（534～550）至北齊（550～577）流行的半跏像形式，該像與日本廣隆寺木造半跏像相似，引起不少學者關注。
