五百羅漢圖

此圖依據中國北宋(960~1127)李公麟五百羅漢圖而繪,製於十六世紀。五百羅漢的信仰起源於唐代(618~907),發展至宋代(960~1279)時,雕像、造像已廣泛流行至各地。
 畫面中央為釋迦牟尼佛及二脇侍,另繪二天王像,色彩明快,線條流暢,乃承襲傳統高麗佛畫的華麗風格。背景描繪深山、岩壁、坡土、樹林、雲層等山嶽風景,五百羅漢似從中競相踊出,錯落有致,占滿整個畫面。這件以五百羅漢為題材的作品,構圖特殊,運用水墨畫技法,筆觸柔和,偏於暗色調,人物表情生動,表現朝鮮(1392~1910)初期佛畫嶄新的一面。
