金襴袈裟

袈裟，指佛所制定之衣服，同法衣、應法衣之意。禪宗則特指傳法時所授與之金襴衣為法衣。通度寺開山祖師慈藏律師為供奉唐代（618～907）皇帝所賜的佛陀真身舍利與金襴袈裟、大藏經而創寺。
此金襴袈裟以金絲線縫綴紋路，自佛陀時代留傳至今，現藏於通度寺內，保存良好。其形式與一般二十一條袈裟不同，即以二十五條布橫綴而成，上有四長一短的格子，共二百五十格。因袈裟又稱福田衣，每格福田穿有一洞，每洞僅縫九針，每穿一針便稱念一如來聖號。是世界僅有的佛陀金襴袈裟，彌足珍貴。
