該像藏於日本奈良法隆寺大寶藏殿，傳為金堂阿彌陀佛之脇侍，供奉於主尊台座下層，但從容貌來看，當為單體造像，鑄於七世紀。主體、台座及持物一體鑄成，屬飛鳥時代（538～645）金銅像中之精品，堪稱為古代造像史上貴重遺例，現為日本重要文化財。
菩薩像高61.5公分，頭戴冠飾，刻劃棕櫚葉形紋樣，正面中央置一化佛，髮至臂側，冠飾繒帶延伸到腳前蓮台下。面相方圓，眉毛、眼瞼、鼻梁及嘴唇等深雕，刀法銳利，棱線凸出，五官集中。右手握寶瓶，左手拈寶珠，跣足立於仰覆蓮台上。以身軀比例相較，頭部與蓮台顯得大些。袒上身，披帔帛，下著長裙。佩頸飾，長串瓔珞於腹前穿環交叉繞至體側，帔帛垂掛身前呈「U」形，裙褶如水波漾開，設計精巧，可見當時金銅造像之作風。
