Horyuji Temple: Standing Bodhisattva

製作於七世紀，為日本飛鳥時代（538～645）作品。從頭部至台座一體鑄成，外表鎏金，內部中空，頭頂尚留有小孔，整體保存完好。現為日本重要文化財。
菩薩頭部、手指及腳趾略大。雙手相合舉至胸前，持圓珠，跣足直立於覆蓮台上。面相長而圓，頸部呈圓筒形，頭戴三山形寶冠，杏仁形雙眼，鼻梁細挺，嘴角微揚，似仰月形，五官清秀。體側垂下魚鰭狀的帛帶，呈左右對稱的形態，腹下束帶結成蝶形，於膝前交叉呈「X」形，冠旁繒帶垂落雙肩，肩旁垂髮卷曲如蕨手狀，顯示止利式的造像特徵，與法隆寺金堂釋迦三尊像之脇侍有共通之處。
