六波羅蜜寺十一面觀音菩薩像

位於日本京都市東山區轆轤町六波羅蜜寺，為該寺草創時之主尊。據傳平安天曆五年（951）京都瘟疫流行，空也向此尊像祈願後疫病即退散。平時安置於龕內，每十二年開扉供眾參拜。一九九九年指定為日本國寶。
菩薩頭部、軀幹由檜木整材雕出，頭後部、身體背面內刳後嵌上蓋板，外表施以漆繪金箔潤飾而成，為高度超出2.5公尺的大型巨像。菩薩面相豐圓，眼瞼微開，表情沉穩。左手屈肘舉至胸前，右手垂下，雙手皆以拇指、中拇相捻。帔帛環繞前身呈「U」形，垂掛於肘間，飄落體側，衣紋線條流暢，刀法洗練。整體比例，頭部稍大，身軀勻稱。其造型成為了解十世紀中葉京都傳統雕刻作風的重要遺例。
