此印為作者個人收藏印。這方印計有篆文十字，採用寬邊細字的印式，造型莊重典雅，章法平正，以浙派切刀為之，亦作破邊處理，使其古意盎然。
釋達受俗姓姚，字六舟、秋檝，別號寒泉、南屏退叟、小綠天庵僧等。清代（1644～1911）僧人、篆刻家、書畫家。書法善篆隸，篆刻宗法秦漢，兼嗜收藏，阮元稱其「金石僧」。
