Great Compassionate Father (side colophon)
大慈悲父 趙之謙

「大慈悲父」語出《大方便佛報恩經》：「佛者是誰？答言：一切智人。復言，一切智人為是誰？答言：大慈悲父。」由此經可知，大慈悲父所指即是佛陀。
此印四字，平均分布。全印疏密以對角方式呼應，「大」、「父」二字筆畫較少，印面留紅較多；「慈」、「悲」筆畫繁複，印面留紅較少，細觀此二字底部雖為「心」，卻有形式不同的變化，並均留紅底，足見以紅色為主基調。趙氏主張印宗秦（221～207 BCE）、漢（206 BCE～220），強調印必光潔，其刀法雄渾剛健。邊款為「南無阿彌陀佛，寫銅佛記之印。」觀此邊款已脫離古人窠臼，引用魏碑界格，搭配娟秀隸書，使印章款識耳目一新。
趙之謙初字益甫，後改字撝叔，號冷君、孺卿、鐵三等，晚號無悶，別號凡夫、趙叔子、勇廬；中年後始名趙之謙。清（1644～1911）末書畫家、篆刻家。書畫、篆刻有過人成就，兼善詩文、寫作，傳世作品頗豐。
