馬鳴寺碑

全稱《馬鳴寺根法師碑》。立碑於樂安縣（今山東廣饒）大王橋。凡二十二行，行三十字。碑額呈「凸」形，上方一行陰文「馬鳴寺」，下方為陽文「魏故根法師之墓碑」，末二字模糊。清咸豐（1851～1861）、同治（1862～1874）年間，該碑斷裂為三。依碑文記載，馬鳴寺為根法師所創建。根法師堪與鳩摩羅什、僧朗等一代高僧齊名，其門下學徒雲集，鑽研義學，參禪修道。
此碑書法在魏碑中獨具一格，結體緊湊茂密，左低右高，橫側生姿；點畫豐腴沉厚，轉角方折，富於變化，字裡行間疏朗寬暢，顯得神采奕奕。清（1644～1911）楊守敬曰：「魏碑多隸體，而亦多寒瘦氣。求其神韻之佳者極少，此獨跌宕風流。」
