Fo Guang Shan Monastery: Characters - One Flower a World, One Leaf a Buddha

一花一界一葉一如 釋星雲

此幅「一花一界一葉一如」,應為「一花一世界,一葉一如來」裁字而成,意為從小見大,說明日常生活中所見的一花一葉,皆可作為參證佛道的門徑與發端。星雲大師自言書寫之語句皆經再三斟酌、選定,而此句在這個時代的語境中,往往帶有積極尋求正面價值與境界的意涵,可見其殷殷勸勉的煦煦之風。
 此幅整體氣質安定,書中「一」字凡四見,皆短橫即收,然起筆與線質等細微處各有不同,顧全整體的穩定氣質與藝術上的變化。這也見於楷、行、草三種字體的交替與安排,特別是書寫較快的草、行,雖有較具速度感的用筆,但並未出現明顯飛白,保持整體書作的安定氣質,也見書寫者靜心不逸於繩矩的修養功夫。
 星雲大師法名悟徹,號今覺、星雲。臨濟宗第四十八代傳人,臺灣高雄佛光山寺開山宗長,國際佛光會創辦人。一生致力推廣人間佛教,把佛法弘揚至五大洲,落實佛法生活化、國際化的理念。
