犍陀羅浮雕因緣故事之一。見於《過去現在因果經》卷四，表現佛陀成道後，為度化優樓頻螺村拜火教的迦葉三兄弟，而顯現神通降伏火龍的故事。
圖中橫長嵌板中央為圖案化的火神堂，佛陀在其中以圓輪光作象徵性的表現，圓輪邊緣用鋸齒紋表示光焰。輪下蜷伏著惡龍，伸頭吐出舌信作攻擊狀。兩旁人物為迦葉及其弟子們，看到火神堂被火焰包圍，紛紛拿起水罐滅火。畫面人物栩栩如生，舉手投足皆展現出強烈的動感。
