彌勒佛交腳坐像
陝西省咸陽市興平市出土
一九四九年以前陝西省咸陽市興平市出土。此尊交腳彌勒造像正面為圓雕，高肉髻，髮呈波紋，雙頰豐腴，細眉大眼，嘴唇較厚。著通肩袈裟，薄衣貼體，衣紋細密，交腳坐於方座上，下方一力士雙手托彌勒雙足。蓮瓣形背光飾火焰紋，內層為忍冬紋和千佛等浮雕，雕刻精美。
背面採用分層分格的平雕技法，雕刻佛本生、佛傳故事等題材。圖分七層，題材豐富，構圖生動，巧妙細緻。下方造像銘文中有「皇興辛亥（471）」字樣，提供了明確紀年。
在十六國（303～439）及北魏時期（386～534），中國佛教造像受到印度犍陀羅和秣菟羅（Mathura）兩大藝術風格影響。此尊交腳彌勒，大眼、豐唇、衣紋細密，衣薄貼體等特色，有秣菟羅之遺風。
