Bazhong Rock Carvings Western Niche 53: Pavilion in the Heavenly Palace (left side)
巴中西龕石窟第53龕天宮樓閣
四川巴中
位於龕口左右兩側。第53龕為外方內單檐佛帳龕，原雕有西方淨土變相，現龕內雕像已風化。樓閣均高二層，下為高基座，正面立一力士。層間設平座欄杆，第二層檐下仿木構雕出斗栱。左側樓閣第一層刻伎樂三身，均袒上身，下身繫長裙，帔帛呈圓弧狀飄揚於身側。正面一身吹奏樂器，側面二身一彈箏，一作胡跪狀側身擊鼓。第二層平座欄杆上一天人倚樓眺望。
右側樓閣第一層正面雕一伎樂，奏箜篌；左側面以立柱分為二間，上刻二伎樂，一倚坐，彈琵琶，一側身而坐，吹笙。第二層平座欄杆上一天人憑欄而立，側面兩身天人已損毀。
整座樓閣雕鑿精細，不僅營造出天宮的美景，並為古建築研究者提供了難得的唐代（618～907）建築資料等。
