南海寄歸傳

此作內容為《南海寄歸內法傳》。此經略稱《南海寄歸傳》，計四卷，乃是唐代（618～907）高僧義淨根據其於印度、東南亞所見所聞的著述，其中多有對當時比丘與比丘尼日常生活的記錄。此作為日本所見最早之《南海寄歸內法傳》寫本，約成於奈良時代（710～794）晚期。卷一之卷首、內文，以及卷二末尾處有殘缺。一九五三年指定為日本國寶。
此作結字方正，用筆不疾不徐，寫出略帶行意的點畫，所以顯得潤澤妍厚，除此之外，在轉折處多見直截的方筆，調和了整體溫厚而有點太過小心的氛圍，撐起了字架，而有骨氣洞達之感，是件品質優秀的作品。
