Main Temple Gate Supplication (detail)
山門疏 無準師範

此作為無準師範禪師所書寫的《山門疏》，所謂「山門疏」即慶祝寺院落成所書寫者。無準師範此作即為「萬年正續院」所作，關於建院相關情事，多簡記其中。一九六四年指定為日本國寶。
此書風格遠追米芾，在行草意味較深的連續書寫中更為明顯。此外，其書寫多字字獨立，即使作草體，也不上下連綿，再加上南宋（1127～1279）書家張即之、趙孟頫影響下的楷意入行而方正爽利書寫，使整體呈現出米芾書作所未見的寬率不羈。
無準師範俗姓雍，法名師範，號無準。南宋臨濟宗高僧。書跡享有盛名，在日本尤受珍視。
