Letter of Long Absence

尺牘 最澄
日本
此書為日本平安時代（794～1185）高僧最澄所書寫之尺牘，成於弘仁四年（813），受信者乃是空海大師門下的弟子。信中除了討論空海大師詩作外，也詢問了適合前往拜訪空海大師的時間。是一封日常的尺牘，故也見有依傳統命名之例，取其信札前二字「久隔」而名之為《久隔帖》者。乃現存唯一由最澄執筆之信函。一九五一年指定為日本國寶。
此書章法寬疏，用筆較輕，行中帶草卻字字獨立分明，雖受到《集王字聖教序》的影響，但輕快的線條與自在的行筆，實非森嚴的二王法度所能範限，整體氣氛溫和而清朗可親。
參考釋文：久隔清音馳戀無極傳承／安和且慰下情／大阿闍梨所示五八詩序中有／一百廿禮佛并方圓圖并註義／等名今奉和詩未知其禮／佛圖者伏乞令聞 阿闍梨／其所撰圖義並其大意等／告施其和詩者忽難作／著筆之文難改後代惟示其／委曲必造和詩奉上 座下／謹附貞聰佛子奉狀和南／弘仁四年十一月廿五日小法弟最澄狀上／高雄範闍梨法前／此頃得法花梵本一卷／為令覽 阿闍梨 來月／九十日許參上若有和上／暇必將參上若無暇更待／後暇惟示指南委曲尋申上／謹空
