Bitter Bamboo Shoot Note

苦筍帖 釋懷素

懷素為唐代（618～907）高僧，亦為書法名家。此帖全文兩行十四字，文曰：「苦筍及茗異常佳，乃可逕來，懷素上」，由此可知此作乃是懷素寄予友人的便箋，是日常生活的剪影。此作之上藏收鈐記累累，也是書法史中的名作。
提起懷素的書法，多半以《自敘帖》為最具代表性的作品，《自敘帖》用筆風馳電掣、乾濕並見，真有如落紙雲煙。相對於此，《苦筍帖》的墨色變化就較少，但卻為開張而變化多端的筆蹤增添了穩定感，使得翻騰筆勢更顯顧盼自如而虎虎生風。
