新昌大佛寺彌勒佛像
浙江新昌
位於浙江省紹興市新昌縣西南大佛寺，寺院緊貼石城山的懸崖而建，彌勒大佛依山開鑿。據劉勰撰《梁建安王造剡山石城寺石像碑》和《高僧傳》卷十三〈僧護傳〉記載，此像始建於南朝齊建武年間（494～498），後因僧護圓寂而中輟，南朝梁天監十二年（513）以寶林寺律師僧祐專任像事，在原像基礎上加以改造，天監十五年功成圓滿。原為倚坐像，經後世多次重修，現為結跏趺坐的禪定像。該寺現為浙江省文物保護單位。
大佛像高13.23公尺，座高2.4公尺，全身妝金，面方耳長，容相豐滿，眉眼細長，眉梢下垂，青色螺髮肉髻，頭光與身光皆為紅色，邊緣有白邊裝飾。彌勒佛身軀較壯碩，著通肩袈裟，雙手相疊施禪定印，端坐於石座上。
