此像約鑄於四世紀，華蓋、台座已佚，僅存佛像主體及背光，與河北石家莊出土的金銅佛像十分相似，同期同類作品目前所知者約存有十餘尊。
佛作高肉髻，髮紋簡略，收下顎，五官清晰，面貌已漢化。身著通肩袈裟，褶紋棱條凸起，雙手作禪定印，結跏趺坐於台座上。佛旁為二弟子，分別位於背光兩側，形體雖小，但容貌可辨。
背光上部左右各有一身飛天，形象古拙，其頂端留有一小孔，可能作為懸掛配件用。
整體藝術造型、製作手法，顯示出逐漸漢化的跡象，為佛像造像藝術中國化最初階段的作品。
