主尊為十六國時期（303～439）的典型造像，結跏趺坐於矩形高座上，座前高浮雕雙獅及寶相花，有較強的立體感。佛帶蓮瓣紋頭光及蓮瓣形透雕火焰紋大背光，頭光兩側原各鑄一飛天，形態生動，右側飛天已佚；背光上有七尊帶圓形頭光之小化佛，結跏趺坐於覆蓮座上。主尊右側為弟子，左為菩薩。方座兩側伸出蓮莖、蓮台，其上各鑄一脇侍菩薩立像，有蓮瓣形透雕火焰紋背光。
佛座下有四足方台，表面細刻蓮花紋等圖案，富裝飾性，座框邊緣鑄成鋸齒狀，頗具新意。
這件作品不論內容、形式，還是製作工藝，在同時期的同類佛像中獨樹一幟，已脫離印度佛教造像原型，極度表現出中國傳統藝術講究對稱、注重層次感的風格特徵。
