佛像頭作螺髻，雙眉纖細，眉間有白毫，眼微張。臉形飽滿，豐頤腴腮，鼻梁高挺，唇微厚，耳長及肩，耳垂圓厚，表情端莊祥和。體碩肌豐，內著僧祇支，腹前結帶，外著雙領下垂袈裟，褶紋線條流暢且具厚重感。手作說法印，結跏趺坐於束腰仰覆蓮座上。
此像製作風格與山西應縣佛宮寺釋迦塔內遼代（907～1125）塑像及壁畫中佛像極為近似，遼代金銅佛造像傳世較少，該像是此時期小型佛像中優秀作品。
