法會、課誦之法器，以棒擊之而鳴。銅鑄，盂形體，圓口，平底，深腹，腹下微收。腹部中央及下方均飾微凸的橢圓形紋樣。
磬身鐫刻銘文「奉納／昭和十一年（1936）度／寒修行滿十年／成滿記念／修行者芳名次第不順／佐職／岡田榮源／助勤／今村義忠」等名，及「昭和十一年二月十六日／法華寺常什／京都高橋治郎謹製」。得知此磬鑄於日治時期（1895～1945），功德主多為當時日本信徒。法華寺為臺灣現存最古的日式木造佛堂，原屬日蓮宗布教所。
