鞍馬寺毗沙門天王及吉祥天與童子像

日本

位於日本京都市左京區鞍馬本町鞍馬寺宸殿。雕造於十一至十二世紀,以毗沙門天王為主尊,吉祥天與善膩師童子為脇侍,是日本現存毗沙門天王及其眷屬像中年代最早之作。吉祥天像內藏經卷,卷末書有大治二年(1127)之紀年,與其他二像約略同時製作。該寺之主尊毗沙門天王為鎮護王城北方之守護神,及司財寶富貴之天部像。一九五二年指定為日本國寶。
 毗沙門天王頭戴刻有三瓣寶珠之三角形寶冠,蹙眉,緊閉雙唇,嘴角略彎,表情威嚴。右手握三叉戟,左手舉至上額,似眺望遠方。身著鎧甲,謢臂的袖套,與足穿護腿的脛套,一副武士裝扮。吉祥天身著唐服,手托寶珠,雙眼垂視,表情靜謐。善膩師童子在耳邊綰圓形髮髻,作童子形象,手捧梵篋。三尊像整體造型簡潔,衣紋淺雕,僅以墨色描繪眉、眼及朱唇外,其餘皆以素木潤飾完成。
