Chusonji Temple Sutra Repository: Candlestick

木漆螺鈿燈台

日本岩手中尊寺大長壽院藏經殿供具，為該寺經藏殿於平安保安三年（1122）創建時所用的佛具，為日本現存最早的螺鈿平塵高腳燈台。一九五八年指定為日本國寶。
燈台為木質，高81公分，下為圓形燈座，直徑24.4公分。座上立四角燈柱，頂有鉢形燈盞。通身髹黑漆，灑上細密金粉成平塵地，再鑲嵌寶相花和蝶紋，間飾綠色或透明小珠，頂嵌飾金銅鏨刻魚子紋地寶相花卷草紋樣。造型優美，紋飾華麗纖細，乃平安時代（794～1185）後期的特色。
