Toji Temple Golden Hall: Hand Drum

日本

法會樂器之一,推測係京都教王護國寺過去舉辦舍利法會時,為莊嚴金堂,於金堂南面架設舞台,集合樂人演奏樂曲、歌舞之用。鼓木質,長柄,柄身一端接二小鼓,貫穿鼓腔。鼓面蒙皮,黝黑,周緣箍以金屬,並嵌裝豎條一圈。當轉動執柄時,使其回轉作響,未設鼓槌,造型獨特。柄身鑲嵌螺鈿飛雲和鳥紋樣。據此物的紋樣色彩、螺鈿裝飾技法及樣式,推測係鎌倉時代(1185~1333)前期之作。
